environments. For those of you with a love of the outdoors,
there are a variety of options close by that are
unparalleled anywhere.
If hiking or family picnics are your pleasure, then the Red
Rock National Park is right for you. These scenic
mountains, rimming the west side of the valley are not only
a breath taking display, but you can see the ages through
the visible layers of brightly colored rock.

You are lured in by its spectacular 13-mile scenic loop
and from there you find it is a wonderful place to go
hiking, climbing or mountain biking.

If winter activities are your cup of tea then Las Vegas is
the place for you. Yes, how would you like to snow board in
Las Vegas? Mount Charleston is a host to most winter
activities.
Whether that means snuggling up by a fire at the log cabin

| Lake Mead |
If basking in the sun on a serene waterfront is more your
idea of the great outdoors, Lake Mead is surely one place
you wouldn't want to miss.
Lake Mead, with a storage capacity of 28,537,000 acre-feet,
is the largest man-made lake in the United States.
A beautiful natural environment surrounds Lake Mead, and
its vast size means that you can find a private cove and
little beach to nestle into for your trip. From there you
will find it easy to hop on your Jet Ski or your slalom
ski and take off.

| Hoover Dam |
Hoover Dam is an engineering marvel. Construction began in
1932 and took over three years to complete. The power plant
is still one of the largest hydro-electric facilities in
the world.
Hoover Dam contains three and one-quarter million cubic
yards of concrete. There are 4,360,000 cubic yards of
concrete in the dam, power plant, and appurtenant works.
This much concrete would pave a highway, 16 feet wide,
from San Francisco to New York.
Also, over 100 featured films and television shows have been
shot on location at Hoover Dam from James Bond to David
Letterman.
